French Trimmed Rack Of Lamb – succulent and gorgeous. Delivered straight to you within as little as 24 hours.

When you buy french trimmed rack of lamb from Porter & York, you’re getting well cared for animal meat that’s succulent. A lamb rib rack consists of 7 or 8 bones and the eye of the rib. The term “eye of the rib” refers to the tender loin meat attached.  The term “frenched” refers to how the butcher cuts the meat and exposes the rib bones down to the eye of the rib.  In beef terms, this is the prime rib of lamb.  Our lamb is USDA Choice grown and processed in the U.S.A.

Roast this succulent piece of meat with your favorite rub.   After roasting, cut between the bones and serve. Two rib racks can be used to create a crown roast by cutting a small slit between each bone on the opposite side of the frenched ribs.  Bend the two racks, bones in, to form a circle. Tie them together  with butchers’ twine, and you will have created a gorgeous lamb crown roast!

Raising American lamb is a sustainable process. The improved animal husbandry techniques used by ranchers today to manage rangelands allows them to protect water and avoid overgrazing in their managed rangelands. These techniques promote the return of healthy grazing areas year after year. Sheep’s natural feeding patterns aid a healthy environment by grazing in small areas and then moving on. This natural foraging encourages new growth and is also an organic form of weed control.
